Heart Evangelista Thanks Sen. Chiz Escudero For Being Such A Supportive Husband As They Celebrate Their 1st Anniversary

HEART EVANGELISTA and Sen. Chiz Escudero are celebrating their first wedding anniversary on February 15. They will have a renewal of vows at their home in Quezon City with only family and close friends invited. This time, the parents of Heart, who didn’t make it to their wedding then, will be present as they’re now in good terms with Sen. Chiz. It will also Heart’s way of celebrating her 31st birthday on February 14.

So how is it being a married woman? “I actually like being married a lot!” says Heart. “I feel very much secured. I feel like I have a solid home. I feel that even there is ‘gulo’ outside your world or whatever you go through like controversies, at the end of the day, you have this home you can go to and not everybody gets this solid home, so it’s very comforting.”

While she’s waiting for her next acting job after “Beautiful Strangers”, Heart is proving that she has a second career after being an actress. She’s now also known as Love Marie (her real name), the visual artist. As a painter, she collaborating with her favorite fashion designer, Mark Bumgarner. Her paintings on the creation of Mark’s couture collection will be unveiled in a gala fashion show titled “Mark Bumgarner X Love Marie” tonight, Monday, January 18 at the Dusit Thani Ballroom. At the same time, a silent auction will be held where all the proceeds will go to two charities, the children’s NGO Corridor of Hope Foundation and the Thalassemia International Association.

Why is she using her real name now, Love Marie? “Well, I’ve been an artista for 17 years now and now, I’m showing a different side of me, so it’s a new Heart from the one people have known all these year. My classmates from school, they’ve known me as Love Marie. I want to reintroduce myself now as the little girl with dreams. More than anything, I wanted to become a painter when I was young. And here I am now as Love Marie. I really want to thank my husband who’s very supportive. I don’t have a selfish husband and I think that’s a huge factor. I don’t know if because he’s older but he allows me to do whatever I want so that’s why I kind of spread my wings a bit more now that I’m married. I’m like, ‘I’m ready for the world!’”
