Gov. Vilma Santos' New Movie, 'Everything About Her', Sees Her Playing A Meryl Streep 'The Devil Wears Prada' Role

GOV. VILMA SANTOS is now wrapping up work for Star Cinema’s first offering for 2016, “Everything About Her”, which is scheduled to be shown on January 27. We’ve seen the movie’s full trailer at SM Cinemas when we watched “Beauty and the Bestie” and “All You Need is Pag-ibig” and it’s quite impressive.

Ate Vi plays the Chief Executive Officer of a big company and she is a very strict and overbearing boss, somewhat like Meryl Streep in “The Devil Wears Prada”. She barks at her employee: “Don’t dare interrupt me kapag ako ang nagsasalita!” She antagonizes the people around her, then all of a sudden, she is shocked when she is diagnosed to have stage 3 cancer.

She is given a personal nurse, played by Angel Locsin. When they first meet, she asks Angel: “Pang-ilan ka sa nursing board exam?” Angel says: “Pang-number 28 po.” And she retorts: “Ni wala ka man lang sa top ten.” She starts to oppress Angel but you know they’ll eventually warm up to each other. Vilma is distant to her son, Xian Lim, who comes home from abroad now that she is sick.

Xian has mommy issues against Ate Vi, and it turns out that Angel also has similar issues with her own mom who left her and their family. The movie, directed by Joyce Bernal, promises to be a dramatic tour de force for all the major performers and it’s something we’re really looking forward to watching in full.
