The fact that the light and hilarious show is such a hit has prompted GMA management to put heavy dramas on hold. “Parang sawa na ang mga tao sa sobrang kadramahan kaya they now prefer to watch lighter vehicles,” says one executive.
“I’m really thankful nag-click sa viewers yung pagiging kikay ni Andrea,” says Carla. “I’m really having fun doing this show, lalo na nga’t nagkita na uli kami sa story ng father ko (Rey PJ Abellana), who everyone knows is really my dad on and off cam. I’m enjoying working and bonding with him on the set.”
Even Gabby Concepcion says he’s really grateful to be part of GMA now as “Because of You” gave his career a new lease on life as a romantic leading man. He says everywhere he goes these days, people address him as Boss Yummy. What can Carla say about Gabby’s statement in his social media account that if he were not married, he’d really woo her?
“Coming from him, siempre, nakaka-flatter,” she says. “But as of now, trabaho lang ang ginagawa namin and we’re really proud na maganda ang reception ng tao sa show namin, lalo ngayong alam na nina Andrea at Boss Yummy na love nila talaga ang isa’t isa, pero maraming hadlang sa pagmamahalan nila.”
