SEN. GRACE POE also paid her last respects to Kuya Germs at Mt. Carmel Church last Saturday. “I have good memories of him as the Master Showman kasama ang mga magulang ko na pareho niyang naging co-stars sa ilang pelikula,” she says. “No doubt he’s one of the pillars of local showbiz at marami talaga siyang natulungan para mapasikat. I remember him as a very optimistic person, laging very positive, walang masamang tinapay sa kanya at hindi niya ugaling manira ng kapwa artista.”
What was her last message to him? “I told him na I’m including him in my prayers. I thanked him for setting a good example in the industry sa pagiging matulungan niya at inspirasyon sa mga kabataan. At sabi ko, kung magkikita sila ng papa ko (the late FPJ), pakiyakap na lang niya para sa akin.”
Kuya Germs will be laid to rest today. Let’s all pray for the repose of his soul.
