Her songs in the brand new album speak of her sentiments at the moment: a woman in love, as seen in the R&B flavored “Baby, You’re the Reason” written by Geraldine Lim, the strings-driven “Ako’y Para Lamang Sa’Yo” by Top Suzara and the piano-based “Only for You” by Edmund Perlas, that all seem to be dedicated solely to her BF Matteo Guidicelli. “Hindi naman yan para sa kanya lang,” she demurs. “It’s meant for all people na nagmamahal at may minamahal.”
Other great songs in “The Great Unknown” are the romantic ballad “Unbroken” by Melvin Morallos, Yeng Constantino’s “Kaibigan Mo” that will remind of “Lean on Me”, Roll Martinez’ “Kapit”, and upbeat modern tunes like Mark Villar’s “Sabi Mo sa Akin”, Emmanuel Sambayan and Nica del Rosario’s “Tala” (catchy enough to be a potential hit single) and Thyro Alfaro-Yumi Lacsamana’s dance track “Misteryo”.
There’s a rumor that she and Matteo are now “hiwalay”. What can she say about this? “Hindi na natapos yan. Sige, aaminin ko na. Hiwalay kami. Sa Pasko. Kasi nasa Cebu siya with his family at nandito ako sa Manila with mine.”
