Marlo Mortel Feels Sad About Breakup Of Love Team With Janella Salvador Now That She's Paired With Elmo Magalona

MARLO MORTEL doesn’t hide his disappointment that his ka-love team, Janella Salvador, gets a new partner in Elmo Magalona next year. “Sino naman ang hindi malulungkot, di ba?” he says at the second presscon of his movie with Janella, “Haunted Mansion”. “Sanay na kami sa isa’t isa and I really enjoy working with her. I guess it’s but normal for me to feel sad kasi, after our movie, ‘Haunted Mansion’, dapat sana, mag-step up na ang love team namin but, heto nga ang nangyari, pinaghiwalay kami. Wala naman akong magagawa kundi i-accept ang decision ng management at sumunod na lang. Maraming fans ng love team namin ni Janella ang heartbroken but I guess, life is really like that. Just expect the unexpected. Ako naman, as an actor, mas gagalingan ko na lang para di ako mapag-iwanan. But I’m happy for Janella na may bago siyang show, kahit di na ako ang partner niya. Basta for me, life goes on.”


Did he have an inkling that they’ll be separated? “Wala naman. Kasi after tanggapin kami in ‘Please Be Careful with My Heart’ and ‘OMG’, tapos nabigyan pa kami ng movie na ‘Haunted Mansion’, I really though magtutuloy-tuloy na ang tambalan namin. Well, I guess I will just accept it as a challenge to stand on my own and try to have a solo career. Palagay ko, hindi naman ako madedehado. Basta sa ngayon, happy akong magkasama pa rin kami ni Janella in promoting ‘Haunted Mansion’. Excited kami kasi lahat ng nakapanood ng movie sa special preview sa Greenhills Theatre say na malaki ang chance nitong maging big box office blockbuster kasi it really works as a horror movie. Marami talaga ang natakot sa scary scenes. It’s also a great feeling for us na ang first movie namin, entry sa isang malaking annual event in the local film industry. Ang dami namang kalabang malalaking pelikula with big stars, but we’re confident na may laban ang ‘Haunted Mansion’ sa kanila kasi napakaganda talaga ng pagkakagawa rito ni Direk Jun Lana. I also believe that the loyal followers ng love team namin ni Janella will support our first, and hopefully not the last, movie together.”
