Liz Uy Sues A Blogger For Libel And Slander, Is Piolo Pascual Following Suit?

LIZ UY, stylist of various celebrities, was accused of recycling a gown and a jacket for Yaya Dub and she didn’t take things sitting down. She filed six counts of libel with grave slander against Fashion Pulis blogger Michael Lim. This was filed at the Makati Prosecutor’s Office with Atty. Lorna Kapunan as her lawyer who said that Lim is destroying her client’s reputation and Liz is just fighting for her rights.

We heard that the camp of ABS-CBN A-lister Piolo Pascual is now similarly contemplating on filing a libel case against a website that also published online something libelous against Papa P (that he has admitted to them that he is gay or bi). Here’s their statement: “It has come to our attention that a site named MANILALINK.com came out with an article claiming that they had an interview with Piolo Pascual regarding his sexuality. We verified this with Mr. Piolo Pascual himself and he vehemently denied that the interview ever happened. This article is a HOAX. We enjoin the public to beware of HOAX sites such as manilalink.com that intend to malign and destroy the reputation of good people.”

What move they will do next is what the people ManilaLink should watch out for? Maybe this would give online writers food for thought, so they’d think before they click again something malicious about celebrities.
