'Child Haus', A Moving Film About Children Fighting The Big C, Is Based On Mader Ricky Reyes' Real Life Child Haus That Will Have A New Home In Manila Near PGH

'CHILD HAUS’, a film inspired by the halfway house for children with cancer fighting for their lives built by Mader Ricky Reyes, will have its premiere night on November 18 at SM Megamall. Written by Socorro Villanueva and directed by Luisito Lagdameo Ignacio (who just won the International Filmfest Manhattan best director award for “Asintado”), the movie is about several children and their touching personal stories as they fight for survival against the big C.

It features child stars Miggs Cuaderno, Therese Malvar, Vince Magbanua, Felixia Dizon, Erica Yu and Mona Louise Rey in the lead roles, along with Leni Santos, Katrina Halili, Christopher Roxas and Ina Feleo as some of the parents. Mader Ricky is giving his full support to the movie. Incidentally, “Child Haus” will soon be relocated.

It will leave its current place in UP Village and will occupy a new abode in a building near the Philippine General Hospital where most of the kid patients seek treatment. It’s just walking distance from PGH, so it will be more convenient for them now, rather than traveling to and fro from Quezon City. Some stars are helping them to build new rooms in their new place, like Zsa Zsa Padilla and daughter Karylle Yuzon who adopted the construction of the social hall of Child Haus Manila. May their tribe increase!
