History repeats itself for Rocco as far as the show’s story is
concerned. In the first soap he did with Lovi, “Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas”, he fooled Lovi as he was really more in love with Charee Pineda. This time, he gets Lovi preggy but later on, he hooks up with Heart Evangelista. “But only because I thought namatay na si Lovi,” he qualifies. “Hindi ko alam yung ginawa sa kanya ni Christopher de Leon, Heart’s father in the story, na gusto siyang pagsamantalahan.”
One of the things he look forward to in the show is doing scenes with Christopher de Leon. “We all know his calibre, di ba? He’s an icon pagdating sa acting. So gusto ko naman siyang makasama sa eksena para masabi kong I was able to act with him. Pag nangyari yun, I will make sure na gagalingan ko para hindi ako mapahiya.”
In its pilot week, “Beautiful Strangers” quickly established the connections between the various characters. Heart as Kristine is the daughter of Christopher de Leon with Ayen Laurel. But he’s now married to the wealthier and more powerful Dina Bonnevie, who helps him get on in his realty business. They have a son, Benjamin Alves. Lovi is the daughter of Lovely Rivero and she and Heart first meet as kids when Heart gave her some money when she lost her transportation fare.
This week, we see Lovi growing up aspiring to be an interior designer in the company of Christopher, but her boyfriend, Rocco, gets her preggy which makes her mom furious as she’s her family’s breadwinner. Heart, in turn, pursue her dream of being a doctor, with the secret help of Christopher. Lovi then applies for work in Christopher’s company and he tries to rape her, leading to complications that will change the lives of all the characters.
