Willie Revillame Losing Money As Blocktimer Of GMA In Airing His Sunday Show, 'Wowowin'

SOMEONE TOLD us Willie Revillame is losing a lot of money by being a blocktimer of GMA-7 for his Sunday game show, "Wowowin", unlike when he was with TV5 where he's the one being paid. For his one hour show, he pays P2 million to GMA-7 every Sunday. He cannot recover that big amount from all the ads in his show, which was even cut short last Sunday due to overtime.

Willie was hoping his show will be given a daily shot but it's not gonna happen simply because "Wowowin" is not rating well. "Natatalo pa siya ng full length movies na kasabay niya na mas mataas ang rating," says our source. "Una niyang dapat gawin is to make his show faster paced kasi nakakabagot panoorin dahil kanta siya nang kanta. Doon pa lang nauubos na ang oras niya tapos ang bagal ng pacing ng games niya. Kaya hindi nakakatagal ang viewers at lumilipat agad ng channel basta lumaylay na ang show niya."

Last we heard, GMA has lowered the fee he's paying as a blocktimer. As of now, he's only made to pay P700,000 a week for his airtime. Here's hoping he can make some profit from now on from his show so he can sustain it.
