Top PBA Players Having A Great Time As Actors-Comedians In TV5's 'No Harm No Foul'

YOYONG MARTIREZ had a career as a TV comedian after he retired from basketball but he was never invited to attend the presscon of any of his shows. "Kaya natutuwa ako dahil dito sa TV5, naimbitahan nila akong mag-attend ng presscon ng 'No Harm No Foul' where I play the role of the father of Tuesday Vargas," he says.

Yoyong has also joined politics and was one the vice mayor of Pasig. "Nagpapasalamat ako sa TV5 dahil binigyan nila ako ng importancia at enjoy ako sa sitcom namin dahil nakasama ko sina Ogie Alcasid at Randy Santiago, plus yung younger players ngayong sina Gary David, Willie Miller, Beau Belga and Kiefer Ravena."
The younger players are also excited about their new career as TV actors. "Masaya every taping day namin," says Gary, who's known as El Granada and who won the Celebrity Dance Battle held by the TV more than a year ago.

"The show is a welcome break for me," says Kiefer. "It's a new experience for me and I'm learning a lot. I hope I'll be given more opportunities after this. I'm young and I really want to try other things."
Doesn't the taping interfere with their being basketball skeds? "Even before we said yes to the show, we already coordinated yung schedule namin sa games at sa practice," says Gary. "Bawal talaga magpuyat sa players so as much as possible, our director, Randy Santiago, tries his best para matapos kami ng maaga sa taping. Nakukuha naman yan sa tamang time management."

Since they've now joined showbiz, for sure, they'll have their own share of bashers.

Don't miss "No Harm No Foul" on TV5 tonight at 8 PM.
