Teen Actor Ryle Paulo Santiago Says He's Now In Good Terms With Dad Jun Santiago, Brother Of Rowell & Raymart

RYLE PAULO SANTIAGO is the son of Sherilyn Tan and Junjun Santiago who got married in 1997 but broke up four years later. Paulo grew up with his mom and stepdad, cager Chris Tan. He admits he's much closer to his mom than to his dad and that he was sore at his dad when he was a young boy.

"But I'm now 17 and I've learned to move on," he says. "Kasi kundi ako magmu-move on, I will just be mad forever and it's not nice to stay mad. Now, when we see each other sa ABS-CBN where he also works, we're civil to each other, we're okay."

He's happy that ABS Star Magic agreed to lend him to TV5 to star in the horror comedy, "ParangNormal Activity", along with Star Magic colleagues Ella Cruz and Andrei Garcia. "At least, nabibigyan kami ng chance to work with other networks habang wala pa kaming assignment sa kanila. My last show with ABS was 'Bagito' pa. Matagal na rin."

In "ParangNormal Activity", he plays the role of Makoy, the leader of their club that investigates strange happenings. He pretends to be the bravest among them but he is actually the easiest to get scared. "Enjoy kami doing the show but my mom told me to always pray before and after each taping so that we won't attract spooky elements na baka sumama pa sa amin sa pag-uwi namin sa bahay."

"ParangNormal Activity" starts airing this Saturday on TV5 at 8 PM, just after "LolaBasyang.Com" starring Boots Anson Roa in the title role and before "KisPinoy" talent search hosted by Richard Gutierrez and Jinri Park.
