Sunshine Dizon Gets Surprise Birthday Gift: She's Nominated As Best Supporting Actress At The Ongoing Madrid International Filmfest

SUNSHINE DIZON celebrated her birthday last July 3 (she turned 32) and got a surprise gift. She was officially informed that she is nominated as best supporting actress for her portrayal of the second wife of a kingpin who becomes a religious zealot in Joel Lamangan's award-winning drama, "Kamkam (Greed) ".

The nomination is from the Madrid International Film Festival that is going on right now and will end on July 11. Here's wishing Sunshine lots of luck and hope she bags the award. Sunshine is now starting a new movie that reunites her with Joel Lamangan, "Sekyu", about the life of a security guard played by Allen Dizon, produced by BG Productions.

Of course, she's still very busy taping the GMA primetime drama, "Pari 'Koy", where she plays the role of Noemi, the oppressed wife of Carlo Gonzales. This week, people in Barangay Pinagpala suffer from food poisoning after they ate the rice given away to the community by Gabby Eigenmann as Kapitan Jude.

Noemi's daughter, Jillian Ward, is about to eat the rice but Victor Neri as Matthew comes along and warns her not to eat it because people who have eaten the rice are already dying. It seems it was contaminated with toxic pesticides. Dingdong Dantes as Fr. Kokoy fervently prays for the Lord to heal the poisoned people of Pinagpala.
