James Reid Denies That He Is Courting Julia Barretto And Shares He Cares For His Love Team With Nadine Lustre

JAMES REID denies the rumor that he is courting Julia Barretto. "I really don't know why they even say we were seen together going out on a date," he says. "It's not true. I haven't seen her since the time we promoted 'Hopeless Romantic'. I don't even have her phone number so I wouldn't know how to get in touch with her."

It's said that his being linked to Julia has hurt the fans of his love team with Nadine Lustre. "I know some fans are bashing me in social media and I can read their comments. But there are those JaDine fans naman who understand that I didn't deny it right away simply because it's not true. I don't think it's worth my time to dignify the rumor. But it's getting out of hand and I'm really grateful to the fans who don't listen to the rumors easily and even defend me. I'm also thankful that Nadine herself doesn't believe in the rumor because she knows that I care for our love team."

Nadine says she's sure that James is careful not to hurt their love team because their being paired with each other really helped their careers. "We all know that I was first paired by Viva with AJ Muhlach in TV5's 'Bagets, Just Got Lucky pero hindi nag-click sa fans ang love team namin in that youth-oriented show," she says. "So ngayong the fans supported my love team with James, alam kong iingatan niya yun."

How about AJ Muhlach who's now working with Nadine in the Viva horror flick, "Chain Mail", that opens on July 22? How does he feel that Nadine is now more identified with James? "I'm happy for her kasi sikat na sikat na siya. Siguro, yung love team namin noon, not really meant to be kaya mas nag-click sila ni James nang sila ang pinagtambal. I'm glad na sa kabila ng tagumpay niya, hindi lumaki ang ulo niya at mabait pa rin siya habang nagsu-shoot kami ng 'Chain Mail'. Kung may nabago man sa kanya, it's the fact na mas gumanda pa siya ngayon."
