Boy Abunda's Make Your Nanay Proud Foundation Announces The First Sinenanay Film Festival

BOY ABUNDA'S Make Your Nanay Proud (MYNP) Foundation announces the first SineNanay Film Festival for college students (group or individuals) from La Consolacion College Manila and Philippine Women's University. All the contestants use only a camera phone.

MYNP Managing Director Bernz Benedito says the filmfest aims "to explore, provoke, interpret and capture images of how they express their love for their nanays."

The selection committee consists of MYNP officers and members of the academe. Five final entries have been selected: Chrisma Alberto's "NaTay", Ella May Arevalo et al's "Istorya ng Pagmamahal at Sakripisyo", Ana ELaiza Lardizabal's "Lipstick", and "Rehas" and "Mama's Girl" by Mary Joy Bonapos and Cathrene Anne Joseph. The announcement of winners will be held on the 3rd week of September, with film and theatre actor Arnold Reyes as the Festival Director.
