Iya Villania Puts Having A Baby On Hold While She's Still New In 24 Oras' Chikaminute

IYA VILLANIA says that because of her being appointed as Pia Guanio's replacement in Chikaminute of "24 Oras", she and husband Drew Arellano's plan of having a baby will have to be on hold for now.

"We all know that magaling ang pinalitan kong si Pia Guanio, so I want to make good muna in filling her shoes before we start our own family," she says. "Also, plan talaga namin to delay having a child para mas ma-enjoy namin each other's company doing outdoor activities and traveling together. We also want to be truly prepared with the duties and responsibilities of being a parent para when the time comes na magkaka-baby na kami, we can say we're really ready."

Iya admits she also has to prepare well being a Chikaminute host. "Let's face it, I grew up in Australia and although I speak in Pilipino, it's not as good as my English. Fortunately, I have a husband na magaling sa Pilipino so he volunteered to be my own private tutor in pronouncing Tagalog words correctly. Nakakatuwa rin kasi the "24 Oras" staff told me they won't use yung malalalim na salita so hindi ako mahihirapan in delivering my spiels in Pilipino."
