Cris Villongco Enjoyed Playing Piolo Pascual & Sarah Geronimo's Concert Producer In 'The Break Up Playlist'

CRIS VILLONGCO plays the concert producer of Piolo Pascual and Sarah Geronimo in "The Breakup Playlist" and she enjoyed it. This is her first mainstream movie since she did "Dalubhasa" with the late Fernando Poe, Jr. when she was still a child. Last year, she did an indie film, "Hari ng Tondo", which gave her the Cinemalaya best supporting actress award.

In real life, we know she broke up with theatre actor Niccolo Manahan. Did she have her own breakup playlist after they split? "Oh yes, I did," she admits. "May song sa lahat ng stages of the process leading to acceptance."

But we heard she has since found a new love and is about to get married? "Yes, but next year pa."
She's happy to be working with co-theater actor, Jett Pangan, in "The Breakup Playlist", with whom she did the musical 'Jekyll & Hyde' for Repertory Phils. Jett plays the manager of Piolo and Sarah's band in the movie.

Cris is also getting raves for her portrayal of the Cherie Gil role, Lavinia Arguelles, in the stage version of "Bituing Walang Ningning". We heard Cherie is against her delivering the famous line "You're nothing but a second rate trying hard copycat" and is threatening to file a case in court for that. Will she still be saying the line in the play's next staging? "Well, as long as I have not received a court order stopping me from saying it, then I will continue to deliver that line," she says.
