“He’s a gentleman, maalaga, tinatanong ako lagi kung okay ba ako,” she says. “Noon ko pa dream makatrabaho siya. Two years ng pinaplano itong movie na ito, kaya lang hindi magtugma yung schedules namin. At heto nga, natuloy na rin sa wakas at showing na sa May 27. We have three love scenes in the film and he’s not the type who’d take advantage. And after each take, he gives me a pat on the back to say ‘ang galing mo’. So masarap siyang katrabaho, magaan. I’m just wondering kasi sabi nila, tahimik siya. Pero siguro madaldal ako, kaya nahahawa siya sa’kin. Siguro no choice siya. Marami nga kaming napag-uusapan. So hindi ko naman na-experience ‘yung ganu’ng katahimikan niya dahil nasakyan niya yung kaingayan at kakulitan ko.”
Didn’t she have any reluctance to do her love scenes in the movie? “Actually, when this was first offered to me, medyo nag-hesitate nga ako kasi nang inilatag ito sa’kin ni Direk Chris Martinez, yun nga, may bedscenes ako not only with Dennis but also with Richard Yap, si Sir Chief na tatay-tatayan ko sa ‘Ina Kapatid Anak’, tapos ngayon, lover ko na. I told him kung ano lang yung kaya ko and then I trusted him, kasi we’ve worked na before in ‘Status: It’s Complicated’ at na-enjoy ko rin naman working with him. But I can really say na ito na ang pinaka-daring na movie na nagawa ko.”
Since both she and Dennis are loveless at the moment, is there a possibility they might fall for each other? “Pwede. But it will depend on Dennis. Basta ako, single ako. Kabe-break ko lang. At ang ganda ko,” she laughs heartily.
Did she bother to ask Gerald Anderson on what’s the reason why he’s dumping her? “No more. Hindi ko talaga alam ang rason niya. Basta ipinagdarasal ko lang siya sa kung anumang pinagdaraanan niya ngayon.”
How come it’s said she’s now cozy with Paulo Avelino who’s one of her leading men in “Bridges of Love” and has himself just broken up with KC Concepcion? “Naku, that’s not true. We just get along fine bilang magkatrabaho. May mga ibang nagpaparamdam, pero rest muna ang puso ko.”
