KRIS AQUINO usually does one movie a year, usually an entry in the annual Metro-Manila Filmfest. But she will be more productive this year as she will be doing two new movies. First is “Etiquette for Mistresses”, based on the hit book of Julie Yap Daza, to be directed by Chito Rono where she’ll co-star with Kim Chiu and the comebacking Claudine Barretto. Then for the Metro-Manila Filmfest, she will do a movie with her son Bimby and ex-BF Mayor Herbert Bautista. So it’s not true that one of her endorsements didn’t allow her then to play the role of the other woman in ‘Etiquette for Mistresses’? “May product talaga akong ine-endorse for ten years now na may stipulation sa contract ko with them na they have the right to approve or disapprove roles that could prove detrimental to the good, wholesome family image of their product,” she says. “Pero I let them read the 'yung story line at yung character ko and they realized na even if it’s about mistresses, may redemption naman and finally doing what is right in the end so umokay sila.”
How did she feel when Ai Ai de las Alas was asked at the presscon of “Let the Love Beging” about her and replied that she’s a former friend. “Wala naman na kaming issue, e. Nakipag-ayos na ko sa kanya, dib a? Noong lumipat siya, doon n’yo ginawang issue ulit.”
