Gloria Romero On Rhian Ramos' Replacing Marian Rivera In 'The Rich Man's Daughter' Where She Plays The Grandma

GLORIA ROMERO says she felt sad when Marian Rivera suddenly left “The Rich Man’s Daughter”. “First time namin to work together, tapos hindi pa natuloy,” she says. “May nakunan na kaming mga eksenang magkasama kami and we had to reshoot all of that with Rhian Ramos.”

So how is it working with Rhian? “Okay naman siya. I’m really thankful sa GMA-7 kasi sunod-sunod ang projects ko with them. After I did ‘Nino’, I thought magre-rest muna ako, but then I was told, sumali ka muna sa ‘The Half Sisters’. And after I finished my role there, hindi rin ako naka-rest kasi isinali naman ako rito sa ‘The Rich Man’s Daughter’. Maganda yung role ko rito as the matriarch of the Tanchingco Family. Ang problema, nagka-alzheimer’s ako. My husband is Tony Mabesa but I no longer recognize him. Kapag hinaharap siya sa akin, sasabihin ko, Sino yan? They will say, Asawa nyo ho. And I’d say, Hindi, hindi ko asawa yang matandang yan. Si Rhian lang as Jade ang nakikilala ko rito kasi she is my favorite apo.”
