Bret Jackson On Being Accused That He's Using Andi Eigenmann To Forward His Career

BRET JACKSON is launched to stardom as the leading man of Andi Eigenmann in Viva’s new movie, “Your Place or Mine”, based on a Wattpad story about a couple who had a one-night stand. Bret belongs to the PBB Teens batch, Teen Clash of 2010, where James Reid was the winner and Ryan Bang was runner up. His full name is Bret Allan Jackson II and he was born on March 15, 1991 in the U.S. Both of his parents are Americans. His parents separated and he suffered physical abuse from his mom. His dad remarried and he had a Filipina stepmother. He joined his dad and stepmom when they moved to Dumaguete more than ten years ago and Bret finished high school in Silliman University. He was taking up medical technology when he joined PBB. He can speak Visayan and also Tagalog.

He supported James Reid in “Talk Back & You’re Dead” and he got talked about when he was linked to Andi Eigenmann after she broke up with Jake Ejercito. This prompted some people to accuse him of using Andi to gain publicity mileage. Even Andi’s mom, Jaclyn Jose, said she doesn’t approve of Bret for her daughter.

At the presscon of “Your Place or Mine”, Andi herself defended Bret. “I don’t think he’s using me because I will never lower myself and allow someone to use me,” she says. “I don’t think Bret has to use anyone. He can make it on his own.”

Asked if they were ever on, both of them become evasive. They just say that as of now, they’re the best of friends. “But I will always be here for Andi if ever she’d need me,” says Bret.

In “Your Place or Mine”, which is directed by Joel Lamangan, Andi plays a college student who majors in psychology. One night, she meets a stranger, Bret, in a bar and they end up spending the night together. It turns out later that they both come from the same school. They get to know each other better but there will be a big twist in the end because of Bret’s problem with his family. Also in the movie are Andre Paras, Ian Batherson, Anja Aguilar, Ashley Rivera, Jackie Lou Blanco, Christopher Roxas, Janna Victoria, Jim Pebanco and Luz Valdez. This opens on April 29 and the cast has free mall shows starting today at SM Bacoor, 5:30 PM, SM Clark Pampanga (April 25, 2:00 PM), Ayala Marque Mall (April 25, 5:30 PM), SM Manila (April 26, 5:00 PM) and Lucky Chinatown Mall (April 26, 7:00 PM). Premiere night is on April 28 at SM Megamall Cinema 9.
