Rachelle Ann Go Currently In Town For A Brief Vacation From Her Stint As Gigi In London's 'Miss Saigon'

RACHELLE ANN GO is currently in town and she’ll be a special guest in “Sunday All Stars” tomorrow afternoon for a very special performance. Before she left to pursue her stage career in London, she’s one of the frontliners of “Sunday All Stars” and a send-off concert was even staged by her home network GMA prior to her West End stint to celeberate her tenth anniversary in showbiz.

She really made a mark in the international showbiz scene when she was recently chosen by Disney Channel Asia to sing her version of “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" for the music video of Disney’s Cinderella, proving that she is indeed a world-class performer. She won the Best Featured Actress award in a Musical during the 2014 Broadway World West End Awards as well as the Best Supporting Actress in a Musical trophy in the 2015 WhatsOnStage Awards for her performance as Gigi Van Tranh in the West End revival of “Miss Saigon”.

Rachelle arrived last Monday, March 9, and will leave back for London on Tuesday, March 17. “Surprise ang vacation kong ito," she says. "I didn’t even tell my family. I just asked some friends to fetch me sa airport and my parents were so surprised nang bigla na lang akong dumating sa bahay. Pagbalik ko roon, tatapusin ko na lang ang contract ko at hindi ko na ire-renew. Gusto ko nang i-resume ang career ko rito.”
Her past BFs include Christian Bautista, John Prats (now officially engaged to Isabel Oli) and Slater Young. Any new romance while in London? “Wala. Masyado akong tutok sa career ko roon.” There was talk she was playing beautiful music with a British actor. “Not true. Mas babae pa sa’kin yun. Hindi naman ako naghahanap. Basta kusang darating yan. Bahala na si Lord.”
