Eat Bulaga' Lines Up Six Meaningful Stories With Star-Studded Cast As Their Special Lenten Offering

FOR ITS annual special Holy Week presentation, "Eat Bulaga" will be offering six meaningful and inspirational stories from Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday. One of the stories is "Lukso ng Dugo", directed by Gina Alajar, to be shown tomorrow, March 30, starring Pia Guanio as the battered wife of a drunkard, Ricky Davao. Each time Ricky beats him up, Pia is defended by her two nieces who live with them, Aiza Seguerra and Ryzza Mae Dizon. Also in the cast of this story about sacrifices one has to do to keep the family intact is Julia Clarete as a villainous relative.

Also scheduled to be shown tomorrow is "Biro ng Kapalaran", about a May-December affair between Keempee de Leon and Nova Villa. Supporting them are Paolo Ballesteros and Jimmy Santos. On Tuesday, the first story is "Pinagpalang Ama", with Joey de Leon in the title role and Ryan Agoncillo as his gay son who he couldn't accept. Also in the cast is the comic-tandem of Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola who'll be doing drama for a change as Ryan's supportive gay friends.

The second episode on Tuesday is "Pangako ng Pag-ibig" topbilled by Pilita Corrales, supported by Jaclyn Jose, Rocco Nacino, Pauleen Luna, Anjo Yllana and John Spainhour. On Holy Wednesday, the first episode will show Bossing Vic Sotto doing a dramatic role as a dedicated teacher in a rural area. The story is titled "Sukli ng Pagmamahal", with Sen. Tito Sotto, Ina Raymundo, Allan K and Sef Cadayona, whot on location in Cebu. The final story will star Marian Rivera in "Aruga ng Puso" and she'll be supported by Bianca Umali, Ruby Rodriguez and Irma Adlawan. All the six Lenten stories have already been taped and the entire "Eat Bulaga" dabarkads will fly to Japan to spend Holy Week in the Land of Cherry Blossoms.
