Carl Guevarra Has Moved On After Breakup With Kris Bernal, Now Stars With Youtube Sensation Donnalyn Bartolome In 'Heartbreaker'

CARL GUEVARRA says he has moved on after his breakup with Kris Bernal. We heard it’s a bad breakup. “Hindi naman,” he says. “I’d like to think na friends pa rin kami, although wala na kaming communication as of now kasi sa TV5 na ako and she’s still with GMA.”

Why did he leave GMA? “Nagpaalam naman kami ng maayos. Wala silang project for me, kung meron, di babalik ako. E, ang TV5, laging may offer. Nag-start ito with the TV movie ‘More than Words’ that I did with Sarah Lahbati. Tapos, I did two ‘Wattpad Presents’ stories for them, ‘Almost a Cinderella’ with Eula Caballero and ‘Mistakenly Meant for You’ with Isabelle de Leon. Ngayon nga, I just did a new story for them, ‘Heartbreaker’, which starts airing this Monday night at 9 PM up to Friday night. Ako’ng leading man ni Donnalyn Bartolome in her first acting try.”

Donnalyn is a Japanese-born youtube sensation, singer-rapper and video blogger who came so late at the presscon of “Heartbreaker”. The call time is for 12 noon but she showed up at 1:30 PM, so obviously, TV5 must teach her a lesson about punctuality. Did he have a hard time acting with a newcomer like her?
“Hindi naman. She’s dedicated sa trabaho and asks for help from our director, Jay Altarejos, who said madali naman siyang idirek. Maganda ang role niya as Summer. She was dumped by her boyfriend, Joseph Loyzaga and wants to take revenge on him through a website called ‘4hartbreakrdotcom’. Nakilala niya ako as Dustin and she plans to use me to make her boyfriend jealous.”

Looks like “Wattpad Presents” is really a big hit since it’s now on its third season. “Yes,” says the show’s top exec, Camille Gomba Montano. “It now has a loyal following among young people who loved to see the characters they’ve read in Wattpad come to life in our dramatized versions. Some companies have also signified their wish for solo sponsorship, complete with incidental or casual plugs of their products within the show.
