Yam Concepcion Says Love Affair With Ejay Falcon Not 'Pure Love' But Shallow Love

YAM CONCEPCION was introduced by Viva as a daring nymphet in the sexy flick “Rigodon”, which sadly didn't do well at the tills. It’s good she was later given the chance to go wholesome on TV in “Dugong Buhay”, where she played Ejay Falcon’s leading lady. She now plays a supporting role as the best friend of Alex Gonzaga in “Pure Love”. At the presscon, someone tried to link her to Arjo Atayde, who was also in “Dugong Buhay”, but Yam is honest enough to admit that it was with Ejay that she had a relationship while taping the show. Ejay himself admitted this when he was a guest in Kris Aquino’s show recently.

“He admitted it first sa TV so hindi ko na idi-deny,” she says. “Let’s say nadevelop ako sa kanya kasi mabait naman siya. But ang bilin niya, wag kong aaminin na kami na. So never ko sinabi kahit kanino ang totoo. Katwiran niya siguro, pareho palang kaming nagsisimula so mas okay kaming ibenta as single. But after the show ended sa ere, bigla na lang siya naglaho. Hindi na nagpakita o nag-text man lang.”

Obviously, there’s no proper closure. What if they bump into each other? “I’ll know the answer pag nagkita na kami. Pero sa’kin wala na, tapos na. Hindi naman ako galit. Basta let go na.”

It’s apparent that what transpired between them is not “Pure Love”, as the title of her new show implies. “Hindi talaga. Shallow love lang. Parang yung relasyon namin, co-terminus ng show.”

She enjoys working with Alex Gonzaga. “We’ve worked before sa TV5 kaya kilala ko na siya. It’s fun to work with her kasi masaya siya so everything’s light on the set.”
