Introducing Romnick Sarmenta's Daughter In 'Kamkam': Zeke Sarmenta

ONE OF THE newcomers being introduced in Heaven’s Best Entertainment’s socially relevant film, “Kamkam (Greed)”, is Zeke Sarmenta, the eldest daughter of Harlene Bautista and Romnick Sarmenta, both former child stars. At 13, Zeke is the only among her siblings who want to try acting. With her in the movie is her first cousin Athena Bautista, daughter of QC Mayor Herbert Bautista and Tates Gana. They grew up together and get along fine as they spend summer together in the home of their grandparents. What do her parents say about her dream of being an actress?

“Very supportive naman po sila,” says Zeke who's also a special guest in "Mars" tonight on GNTV. “My mom said I should try theatre acting para mas mahasa ako nang husto. They both give me pointers about how to excel in acting at lagi nilang sinasabi na dapat, matuto akong makasama sa lahat ng makakatrabaho ko.”

She’s happy to be part of a film like “Kamkam” that got an A rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board and opens in theatres today, released by Quantum Films. “Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwalang nakagawa ako ng ganito kagandang movie. I learned so much from Direk Joel Lamangan at sa mga gumanap na parents ko, sina Jean Garcia at Allen Dizon. Napakagaling lahat ng mga kasama namin dito.”
