“There’s also a clamor by local viewers to show it on a free TV channel kasi, paano nga naman yung walang cable service providers, e gusto rin nila itong mapanood?” says matriarch Annabelle Rama. “Dahil dito, we decided to give it to TV5 and they will air it from the start simula ngayong Saturday night at 7 PM. Sa E! Channel, six episodes lang ang naipalabas. But dito sa TV5, we have seven episodes dahil may gagawing additional special ang TV5 para sa amin. This will also be shown on TV5 International, Saturday 8:45 PM Saudi time, 9:45 PM sa United Arab Emirates, also in the U.S. In Guam, we’re shown Sundays at 1:45 PM. Never ko na-imagine na magiging international ang beauty ko.”
So what will they show on the season finale tomorrow? The christening of Baby Zion and Sarah Lahbati’s mom complaining that she was ignored? “Hoy, don’t say bad words. Tapos na yun. Maayos na lahat. Let’s just focus on the show na talagang nakatulong para maging closer kaming lahat as a family. Kasi dati, bihira na kaming magkasama-sama but here, we’re all together again as a family. Very memorable yung Eddie and I are having and breakfast in bed then all our kids joineds us.”
But it also showed them fighting and Eddie even got mad. “Bale wala yun sa family namin. Mag-away man ngayon, mamaya lang, wala na. Kami lang naman ni Ruffa ang madalas mag-away. Kaya lang nagalit si Eddie kasi lagi niyang pinagtatanggol si Ruffa.”
“But we’re really happy when E! told us that ours is the most watched TV show in E! Channel Asia,” says Ruffa. “The E! people are so impressed. When we went to their office in Singapore, all the employees came out to see us in person. Because of the show’s huge success, case study na raw kami ngayon sa E! at NBC in L.A. And later on, they plan for us to meet the Kardashians. For our second season, we’re told to showcase the beauty of the Philippines. So my daughters and I are going to Bohol while sina Richard, Sarah and Baby Zion are going to Palawan. Kaya salamat sa lahat ng suporta ng viewers and advertisers. They never had a show raw at E! with a huge commercial like we had. So remember, it’ll be a Gutzy weekend. Kasi, we start on TV5 at 7PM this Saturday night and on Sunday night, the season ends naman on cable sa E!”
