Gary V Repeats 30-Anniversary 'Arise' Concert At MOA Arena On August 2

GARY VALENCIANO is turning 50 on August 6 and he’s so blessed as he looks almost the same as when he started in showbiz 30 years ago with his very first concert at the Big Dome, “Alive”, in April of 1984. In April this year, he celebrated his 30th anniversary also at Araneta with “Arise: Gary V 3.0”, a hit two-night concert that he will now re-stage this time at the MOA Arena on August 2, a Saturday, in time for his being a Golden Boy. His fans also clamor that they want to watch it all over again. What will be the changes in the show this time?

“No changes at all,” he says at the presscon at 38 Valencia Events Place of Mother Lily. “What they saw sa Araneta, yun din ang nasa repeat. But the lights, the set, mas malaki ngayon as we have a bigger stage. My son Paolo will still co-direct the show with me. Our guests are Iya Villania, Rico Blanco, Sam Concepcion, The Manoeuvres, our Super-Selfie King Gab Valenciano, and my daughter Kiana who is a Philpop 2014 finalist. Meron palang special guests na we’ll announce na lang later.”

Gary started his concert then with his hit song “Di Na Natuto” then took a nostalgic ride with his other hits like “Hold On”, “Natutulog Ba ang Diyos”, “Reaching Out”, “Heto Na Naman” while showing videos of his past performances that demonstrated he remains to be Mr. Pure Energy because he definitely still has the all the right moves. He can definitely put to shame even a younger man when it comes to dancing and performing.

Don’t miss all these great numbers in the repeat, plus his most requested song “Sana Maulit Muli” which he sang for Mother Lily Monteverde at the presscon. Mother Lily says she’s a huge Gary fan and she will not ask for free tickets for the tickets since she’s willing to buy them. “Arise” is really a visual treat that shows innovative light and sound techonology and dazzling production numbers comparable to the concerts done here by foreign artists. Tickets range from P500 to P5,000, call SM Tickets at 470-2222 or visit smtickets.com, mallofasia-arena.com. Proceeds will go to Unicef, Shining Light Foundation, Phil. National Red Cross, Operation Blessing for Yolanda victims, sponsored by ABS-CBN, Myx Philippines, The Journal Group, Inquirer, Phil. Star, Soundcheck, Universal Recs., Alaska Milk, Belo Medical, Regal EntertainmentS
