Richard Gutierrez Glad That Sarah Lahbati's Mom Has Stopped Posting Negative Things About Them

SARAH LAHBATI’s mom seems to have finally been appeased and has stopped posting negative things about the Gutierrez family in her Instagram account. All quiet on the Western front, as far as she’s concerned, after Sarah privately talked to her about it. When Sarah appeared as guest in “Celebrity Bluff”, she refused to talk about her mom’s gripes. “Tapos na po, move on na lang po tayo,” she said. “We’ve even invited her to stay with us sa Dasma home nina Richard but nahihiya naman daw siya.”

Even Richard Gutierrez refuses to talk about it while promoting his drama suspense-thriller, “Overtime”, that opens in theatres tomorrow. “Ang daming positive na nangyayari,” he says. “Our reality show, ‘It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez’, continues to rate high on E! Channel at ngayon, ipalalabas na rin ito sa free TV on TV5 starting July 5 at 7 PM, after the PBA Games. I’m also glad that very positive ang feedback sa ‘Overtime’ at lahat ng nakapanood says it really works so well as an action thriller. So let’s just stay positive para maalis lahat ng negative vibes.”

“Overtime” director Wincy Ong says local viewers will easily be able to relate with the movie as the events portray can really happen locally. “When I wrote it, I had in mind the scenarios from movies like ‘Die Hard’ or ‘Taken’, and how would it feel if they happened in Manila. There have been news reports of bombs going off in malls, offices and condominiums, but we haven't really had a movie that's about it. I think a Filipino is the best protagonist in a film like this because we Pinoys can be very resourceful in times of crisis and we never give up. I’m very thankful to GMA Films for their full support. Maraming challenges during the shoot but we were able to meet them all with the help of GMA. We also want to thank our leads, Richard and Lauren Young as Dom and Jody. Very challenging for them ang movie kasi halos silang dalawa lang ang magdadala at nagawa nila iyon with flying colors.”
