Aussie Actress Tries Local Showbiz In GMA-7's 'Ismol Family'

NATALIA MOON plays the housemaid of Ryan Agoncillo in the new GMA-7 sitcom, “Ismol Family”. And who is Natalia Moon? She’s a blonde Australian from Brisbane who’s currently trying her luck in local showbiz. She not only acts but is also a pop singer-songwriter. She has even written a Tagalog song, “Niloloko Mo Ako”.

Natalia has been in the country for two years now and she surprised us when she started speaking in Tagalog quite fluently. “I’ve been learning how to talk in Tagalog for about a year now,” she says. “Pusong Pinoy na ako.”

She also currently appears in the Singaporean TV series, “The Boston, Kitchen Musical 2”, with Kapuso actor Steven Silva. In “Ismol Family”, the name of her character is also Natalia.

“Ako yung sosyal na kasambahay nina Ryan,” she says. “Hindi ko magawa ang household chores kasi lagi akong nasa computer, nakababad ako sa social networking sites para mag-Facebook, Twitter at Instagram. I’m really grateful to GMA-7 for giving me this break to be part of a local sitcom as I’m really enjoying myself dahil puro mababait ang mga kasama ko rito. I hope the show will be a hit para magtagal ang aming telecast.”

Is she ready to go daring? “Why not? If it’s a good role in a movie. But I don’t need to do that in ‘Ismol Family’ kasi wholesome family show ito and our aim is to make the audience laugh.”
