Sampaguita Pictures Actor Ramil Rodriguez Passes Away On April 30

CONDOLENCES to the family of actor Ramil Rodriguez who passed on April 30 after a two-year bout with lung cancer. He would have been 73 on August 22. He was part of Sampaguita Pictures Star 66, along with his younger brother Pepito. In their batch, only Gina Pareno remains active in acting. Among those who have passed are Dindo Fernando, Edgar Salcedo and Loretta Marquez.

Ramil was introduced in “Leron Leron Sinta” with Susan Roces and Liberty Ilagan. Other films he did are “Gintong Recuerdo”, “Bye Bye na sa Daddy”, “Sa Libis ng Baryo”, “Mama”, “Sitting in the Park” and many more. He later appeared in father roles on TV soaps like “Mula sa Puso”, “Bakekang” and “May Bukas Pa”. He was last seen in “Love Me Again” on “Precious Hearts Romances” in 2010 with Valerie Concepcion. He left his partner Lettie. They have no kids. Let’s pray for the repose of his soul.
