NADINE SAMONTE came to the presscon of “One of the Boys” with her BF Richard Chua, the son of actress Isabel Rivas who’s 12 years old than her. They’ve been officially engaged since last year but Nadine says they haven’t set yet a date for their wedding. “It’s either this year or next year,” she says. “We met on April 7 last year. Nag-on kami ng April 14. After three months, in July, nag-propose na siya. Nagulat ako when he kneeled and said ‘Will you marry me?’. Sabi ko, ‘Are you serious? Seryoso ba ito? Hindi ka ba nagloloko?’ I was so surprised kasi before, I was in a 7-year relationship, di man lang nag-propose, tapos heto siya, ang bilis! Siguro, it’s not really the length of time kundi yung sincerity ng relasyon. Ang family ko, gustung-gusto siya. Side niya, gusto rin ako. Walang negative, e. Walang against.”
Nadine belongs to Starstruck Batch 1 and her colleagues Jennylyn Mercado, Yasmien Kurdi and Katrina Halili, are now all moms. “At 26, ready na rin ako to settle down and be a mom,” she says.
Nadine accepted “One of the Boys” as she wants to do a sitcom. “Maganda yung role ko as Jana Halliwell and enjoy akong makasama rito sina Tito Joey de Leon, Eula Caballero and the Juan Direction boys. Masaya kami lagi sa set. Ang gaan-gaan ng trabaho dahil tawanan lang kami nang tawanan. It’s a feel good show kaya tiyak na masisiyahan ang viewers kapag pinanood nila.”
“One of the Boys” started airing last Saturday at 9 PM and TV5 execs are very happy that it got very good feedback from viewers.
