CARLA ABELLANA personally thanked us in social media for our positive review of her performance as the addled but colorfully garbed heroine in “So It’s You”. Mother Lily of Regal is also very pleased that the film is doing well at the box office. Its exhibition is extended for the second week in several theatres so you can still catch watching it this weekend.
“Yun naman talaga ang pinagdarasal ko,” says Carla. “Ang mag-enjoy ang viewers who’ll watch it at nang maibalik ang investment ni Mother Lily.”
A lot of folks really appreciate her team up with Tom Rodriguez and even fans in the U.S.A. are now requesting that it be screened in New York and other key cities there. We told her she’s so blessed because after “So It’s You”, she also appears in Regal’s next offering, the Jose Javier Reyes opus “Somebody to Love” where she co-stars with Matteo Guidicelli, Jason Abalos, Iza Calzado, Isabelle Daza, Kiray Celis and Jaclyn Jose.
On TV, she also has two new shows no less. She’ll be with Ryan Agoncillo in the sitcom, “Ismol Family”, that will be shown on Saturdays and she’ll soon start taping a new yet untitled drama series where she and Rhian Ramos will play the daughters of Lorna Tolentino, and we heard Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez will play the leading men.
No doubt her being super busy helps forget the pain in her hurt after her breakup with Geoff Eigenmann. She was supposed to go with him and his family to Japan for a brief vacation there last week. The trip has been set and the tickets and accommodations have been paid for even before they broke up, but she decided not to go with them anymore as it would have been awkward, unlike Carl Guevara who still went with Kris Bernal and her family even if they’re already split up.
