She and Troy Montero are launched as the official endorsers of Bargn Farmaeciuti’s libido enhancer for men to keep passions burning, Euphoria Maxx. They’ve been together for 10 years now and still going strong. How did they meet?
“I was a guest in an event and she was there, too,” says Troy. “I asked, sino ‘yan? Then when a noontime show got me to do their opening dance number, I agreed, but only if she’s my partner. That started it. I got her number, then invited her to dinner, we dated. It took me three months to court her. I was sending her flowers every day.”
“Five years muna kaming mag-boyfriend before we started living in,” says Aubrey. “Now, we have a five-year old son, Hunter, plus my son from a past relationship, Maurie, who’s now 13. Troy is a very good father to both of them.”
What makes their relationship last? “Good communication. When we have a conflict, we always try to talk and resolve it. We work out together, travel together, find time for each other. Also, the fact that Troy is very faithful.”
“We met at the right time,” says Troy. “I’ve had my share of living the wild life of a single guy and I’m ready to start my own family. I told her if she met me when I was younger, I wouldn’t have been a good partner. Now, I’m 42 and she’s 36, and we really complement each other.”
They both look so much younger than their age. Don’t they miss showbiz? “I participated in ‘Survivor Philippines’ and after that, may mga kumukuha sa’kin for teleseryes, pero walang tumutuloy. Siguro because I don’t have a manager who’d push for me. But I’m busy with my pawnshops. The one in Cubao is now 7 years old and the Makati Cinema Square branch is 2 years old. They’re both doing well.”
“I have my own post-production company, We Love Post,” says Troy. “We do TV commercials, TV shows and films. We did all the movies of Gov. ER Ejercito. We’ve just finished doing the post production of a French film shot in Manila with a French cast. Right now, we’re working on a mini-series about Australia. We’re also developing a new movie that I’ll co-produce and also appear in.”
