TV5 International Making Waves As Leading Pay-TV In The Middle East And North America

TV5 INTERNATIONAL, also known as Pilipinas Global Network, recently renewed its partnership with Orbit Showtime Network (OSN), one of the leading pay-TV networks in the Middle East and North America. The renewal of partnership reaffirms the Kapatid Network’s commitment to bring the best Filipino entertainment and news content to viewers across the said areas through Kapatid TV5 and Aksyon TV International channels.

The renewal was held recently at Makati Shangri-La. TV5 also announced its “unprecedented growth” among Overseas Filipino viewers based in the Middle Eastern and North African regions. TV5 International is said to have moved from third to second most-watched Filipino channel. “This is a huge milestone for TV5 International as not only are we celebrating a successful partnership, but we are also celebrating the fact that our young channels already enjoy over 1.2M viewers in the Middle East, surpassing some other older channels. This is significant, and we are very proud of how far we have come in just a matter of three years,” said TV5 International president Claro Carmelo Ramirez.

Emad Morcos, OSN SVP, said, “OSN’s goal is to be present in every Filipino household in the Middle East and North Africa and to serve as the bridge that connects overseas Filipinos to their homes here in the Philippines. With the renewal of our partnership with TV5 International, we are one step closer to that goal.”

Also present during the event were TV5 talents and Tropa Mo Ko Unli mainstays Valeen Montenegro, Ritz Azul, Empoy and Edgar Allan Guzman. The cast will tape an episode in Dubai on April 11 and 12.
