Paolo Ballesteros And Kevin Santos, Both Experts In Playing Gay Roles

PAOLO BALLESTEROS and Kevin Santos both play gay roles in the romantic-comedy “So It’s You”. They’ve both played gay roles before and Kevin even won the Golden Screen best supporting actor award on TV for his portrayal of Dennis Trillo’s gay best friend in “My Husband’s Lover”. So who is better between him and Paolo in playing a gay role in “So It’s You” that opens in theaters on May 7?

“Magkaiba naman ang roles namin,” says Kevin, who was at the movie’s presscon while Paolo was absent as he’s hosting “Eat Bulaga” that time. “Ako, closet gay rito na kapatid ni Carla Abellana. Siya naman, malanding muheristang best friend ni Carla. Ako, kapag kaharap ko ang mga magulang namin ni Carla, nagpapakalalake ako. Pero kapag kami na lang ni Paolo, doon lumalabas ang pagka-gay ko.”

Kevin is one of the favoured stars of GMA-7. He’s now regularly seen in hit afternoon soap, “The Borrowed Wife”. But even if before this has ended, he’s already cast in a new sitcom that will be topbilled by Ryan Agoncillo.
