“Nakaka-pressure pa rin kahit sinasabing halos sold out na raw ang tickets,” he says. “Sana nga mapuno uli. Alam ko, higher ang expectations sa’kin this time kaya nga panay na ang ensayo ko. From my first experience, mas kumapal na ang mukha ko ngayon at alam ko na ang mga dapat at di ko dapat gawin. I am now memorizing all the lyrics sa lahat ng songs ko.”
Is he now a better singer? “Kung ako tatanungin, mas gusto ko talaga ang acting, pero I’m doing this for the fans. May improvement naman daw ang singing ko. Mas comfortable na rin kasi ako sa pagkanta at mas kina-career ko na ito ngayon.”
He also has a better body now. So will he go sexy and show his abs? “Braso ko lang po ang lumaki so siguro, puede na ko mag-sleeveless. Pero wala po akong abs. Ang tiyan ko, malaki pa rin, so hindi ako maghuhubad dahil hindi naman kami magko-comedy.”
So who will be his guests? “Siempre, darating si Kath (Kathryn Bernardo) and we’ll do a duet. Kasama rin si Rico Blanco, Khalili Ramos, yung band kong Parking 5 and the Reo Brothers from Tacloban who survived Yolanda.”
What’s his gift to Kath on her 18th birthday? “Binigay ko na yung request niya, a puppy, noong March 25th. We were together, sinalubong namin ang birthday niya. Then on Sunday (which is today) sa debut niya sa Blue Leaf, may isa pa kong pasabog na ibibigay sa kanya. We’ll start shooting our new movie, ‘She’s Dating the Gangster’, soon. Tapos may show kami sa London, Rome, Milan and Dubai.”
