Piolo Pascual Back To Doing Kilig Romantic Movies In 'starting Over Again'

PIOLO PASCUAL is understandably excited over his Valentine movie, “Starting Over Again”, which pairs him with Toni Gonzaga and Iza Calzado, directed by Olive Lamasan. “My fans have long been asking me to do a new movie kasi my last movies were not romantic stories,” he says. “In ‘24/7 in Love’, medyo mentally challenged ako at mga bata ang kasama ko. Then ‘On the Job’ was an action-drama where I played an NBI agent who died while doing his job. So ngayon lang ako uli gumawa ng kilig love story here in ‘Starting Over Again’ and it’s definitely worth the long wait. This is a one-of-a-kind movie and it took more than six months to make. The story is so touching. There comes a point where we regret letting go of a person. Yung nandiyan na siya, pero nakawala pa. So the movie is how do you get back that person who got away? How do you start again the relationship that you once had? The film aims to impart the insight that every choice in life has a rippling effect that one must inevitably accept, and not everyone is blessed with a second chance to love.”

Piolo, who turned 37 on Jan. 12, plays Marco in the story while Toni is Ginny. They once became lovers but the relationship fizzled out due to career considerations. Years later, they meet again, Piolo is now an accomplished chef, and Toni realizes she’s still so in love with him, but the problem is he already has a girlfriend, Iza Calzado. Their story will answer for you such vital questions as: Is there such a thing as true love and destiny? If a past relationship brought so much pain and heartache, is it still worthsaving? “Starting Over Again” opens in theatres on February 12 as a special Valentine presentation of Star Cinema for its 20th Anniversary.
