It's All Systems Go For Jericho Rosales And Kim Jones' Wedding On May 1

JERICHO ROSALES says he has grown older and wiser that’s why he feels he’s really ready to settle down with fiancée Kim Jones on May 1. “Noong araw, impulsive ako, I act without thinking,” he says. “But not anymore. Mas dedicated na ko sa lahat ng ginagawa ko. That’s why I’m happy to do a movie like ‘ABNKKBSNPLAko’ that emphasize the importance of education. Nagluko sa pag-aaral ang character ko rito, si Bob Ong, but eventually I realize yung value ng getting a degree at naging teacher din ako.”

Director Mark Meily seems to bring out the best in him. They first worked together in “Baler” and he also gave a great performance there, just like in “ABNKKBSNPLAko”. “I salute Direk Mark kasi he’s a versatile filmmaker. ‘Baler’ is a historical costume drama which won awards. Now, he also shines in making this values-oriented youth movie based on a hit book. I’m so proud to work with him and this will be memorable for me dahil ito ang huling movie ko bilang binata. Mahirap yung role for me kasi comedy siya, e mas sanay ay ako sa drama, di ba? Also, I start here as a 16-year old high school student and it ends na teacher na ko in my mid-30s, so malawak ang range. But with Direk Mark’s help, naitawid naman namin ng maayos ang role ko as Bob Ong.”

So it’s all systems go for his May 1 wedding with Kim Jones? “Yes, wala nang urungan yan. Hindi na yan maka-cancel o mapa-pack up. Talagang pinaghahandaan namin.”
