DENISE LAUREL looks so sexy in her figure hugging outfit at the presscon of “Third Eye”. You won’t suspect she already has a son with a previous relationship who has moved to the States. Now engaged to a new Fil-American boyfriend named Solomon Mercado, she told us that although she announced their engagement in September last year, it doesn’t mean they’ll soon walk down the aisle.
“Mas mabuti na yung long engagement so we can get to know more of each other better,” she says. “Most probably, mga 2016 pa ang wedding. But right now, he’s getting along fine with my son who looks up to him as his dad.”
Denise says she was badly affected when people thought she and Deniece Cornejo are one and the same.
“Kung anu-anong masasama ang pinagsasabi sa’kin ng netizens sa social media. They’re cursing me, mamatay na raw sana ako dahil akong may kasalanan ng lahat. So kahit ayokong makisali sa issue, I had to defend myself and make it clear na magkaiba kaming tao. Pareho ang tunog ng names namin, but they have different spelling. Yung iba, ginagawang joke lang, but a serious thing happened to Vhong Navarro at hindi dapat gawing joke. Mabuti na lang at hindi ako madaling mapikon at pinalampas ko na rin lang.”
What’s her role in “Third Eye”? “I play the other woman of Ejay Falcon. He’s married to Carla Abellana but she can’t give him a child so nakipag-affair siya sa akin and I got pregnant. Nagkaproblema when we run into Camille Prats and Alex Medina na galing pala sa isang village full of the living dead. Diyan na magsisimula ang sobrang katatakutan in the movie.”
Aside from “Third Eye”, Denise is also seen in ABS-CBN’s “Anna Liza” where she plays the real mom of Anna Liza.
