Carla Abellana Doesn't Mean To Offend Marian Rivera And Her Fans

CARLA ABELLANA says she never meant to offend Marian Rivera and her fans when she posted in social media that, for her, Delia Razon (her maternal grandma) remains to be most beautiful woman. Some folks thought she posted this in answer to Marian’s “Carmela, Ang Pinakamagandang Babae sa Ibabaw ng Mundo”.

“Huwag namang lagyan ng ibang meaning ang post ko,” she says. “Hindi kami magkaaway ni Marian kaya huwag naman sana kaming pag-awayin.”

Carla is now busy promoting her new movie, “Third Eye”, a horror-suspense thriller written and directed by Aloy Adlawan where she co-stars with co-Kapuso actress Camille Prats and Kapamilya stars Ejay Falcon, Alex Vincent Medina and Denise Laurel. “Third Eye” is the first offering of Regal Entertainment for 2014.

“It’s truly scary,” she says. “Maraming eksenang matatakot ang viewers. I play the role of a girl who’s born with a third eye at nakakakita ng ghosts. But my grandma, Boots Anson Roa, closed this third eye for my own good, pero mabubuksan uli yon sa paglaki ko and that’s when things start to become very frightening.”

Mother Lily said she was inspired by the big success of “Pagpag”, the horror flick she co-produced with Star Cinema. “After the success of ‘Pagpag,’ we want to do something even more scary and all the terrifying elements na wala sa ‘Pagpag’, inilagay namin ngayon dito sa ‘Third Eye.’ Tradisyon na kasi ng Regal na ibigay sa manonood ang gusto nila na tumitili at kinakabog ang dibdib sa simula hanggang ending ng movie. Modesty aside, matitikman nila ‘yan sa ‘Third Eye.’ Ako ngang sanay na sa horror movies, natakot pa, ganyan din ang mararamdam nila once panoorin nila ang pelikulang ito!”

Ejay Falcon plays Carla’s husband who is frustrated that they don’t have a child so he has an affair with Denise Laurel, who quickly gets pregnant. Carla is mad and confronts her husband and his lover, not knowing that this will lead to some terrifying complications involving Camille and Alex Vincent who crave for human flesh and blood. “Third Eye” opens in theatres on February 26.
