Top American Balladeer Jack Jones & Circus Band/New Minstels Topbill Viva Concerts Offerings This Valentine

VIVA LIVE AND Viva Concerts have prepared some exciting shows for love bird who want to go out on date this coming Valentine season. First is the concert of the ultimate singing heartthrob and balladeer of the past 50 years, Jack Jones, who’s best known for classics like “What I Did for Love”, “She”, “Lollipops and Roses”, “Impossible Dream” and many more. His “Jack Jones in a Valentine Concert” will be held at the Araneta Coliseum on Thursday, February 13, and at the Manila Hotel Tent on Friday, February 14. Proceeds will benefit typhoon Yolanda victims. Jack rose to fame in the 60s not only for his hit songs but also for being attractive and, unlike a lot of music idols that time, always well groomed. He has done several hit TV specials and hosted the show “Hullaballoo”. He has done movies before and, in the currently Oscar-nominated film, “American Hustle” starring Christian Bale, he will be seen playing a night club singer. For fans of the legendary Circus Band and the New Minstrels, don’t miss their “We Got the Love - Greatest Hits Reunion Concert” this Valentine season at the Plenary Hall of the PICC at the CCP Comples on Roxas Blvd. on Thursday and Friday, February 13 and 14, and at the SMX Convention Center Davao at SM Lanang Davao City on Saturday, February 15. Both showbands dominate the local entertainment circuit in the 70s and many of its members have succeeded as solo acts, no wonder their series of five shows last year were very successful for fans of good music.

Set to perform are Hajji Alejandro, Tillie Moreno, Pat Casillo, Jacqui Magno and Basil Valdez from the Circus Band and Louie Reyes, Ding Mercado, Joey Albert, Ray An Fuentes, Chad Borja and Eugene Villaluz from the New Minstrels, with former Circus lead guitarist Rudy Lozano as the musical director. They’ll be dishing out R&B, rock, disco, funk, ballad and other great sounds like Stevie Wonder Medley for the Boys, Donna Summer and other Disco queen medley for the girls, plus a Burt Bacharach medley, Earth Wind Fire medley, and other hits from Motown, Santana, Barry Manilow, Sergio Mendez, and many more.
