Theme Song Of 'Carmela' Sung By James Wright A Potential Hit

MARIAN RIVERA and Alden Richards play university students in “Carmela” and they shot on location in PUP Sta. Mesa, the alma mater of their scriptwriter, Suzette Doctolero. The show’s director, Dominic Zapata, said it was a nightmare taping there. “Sobrang dami ng fans ni Marian at ni Alden, hindi makaya ng crowd control,” he says. “Ang ending, maghapon kami roon, pero two sequences lang ang nakunan namin.”

After the music video of “Carmela” was shown at the presscon, most press people predict that its theme song, “Sana Ikaw”, composed by Vehnee Saturno, has the makings of a hit if it’s properly promoted. It was sung beautifully by James Wright, the Fil-Aussie teener who was a contestant in GMA-7’s reality show, “Anak Ko Yan”. He should have been asked by GMA-7 to sing the song live during the presscon as it would surely help launch his career. Anyway, you can watch out for him at the grand launch of “Carmela”, “Rhodora X” and “Paraiso Ko’y Ikaw” in “Sunday All Stars”. We’re sure they’ll ask James Wright to sing the “Carmela” theme song live to help in its promo since all the new shows will start airing on Monday, January 27. “Paraiso Ko’y Ikaw” will be aired at 6 PM, before “24 Oras”. “Carmela” will be shown after “Adarna” and following it is “Rhodora X”.
