Caregiver Rose Fontanes Wins The 1st 'X Factor Israel'

CONGRATS TO Rose “Osang” Fontanes, a 47-year old caregiver in Tel Aviv who won last Tuesday (Wednesday morning in Manila) night in first season of “The X Factor Israel”. Her winning pieces were Frank Sinatra's "My Way" and Alicia Keys' "If I Ain't Got You" and you can now watch the clips on youtube (along with her audition piece, Shirley Bassey’s “This is My Life” where she quickly wowed the judges). You can’t help but feel proud as she’s really impressive and she does our country proud with her win. She proclaimed: "To all the Filipinos and Israelis who supported me, thank you so much."

In interviews, she said she has little confidence with herself and even when everyone says she’s a good singer, she’s so nervous in singing in public. “X Factor Israel” is her first attempt to join a big competition like this. "It's a big change in my life because before nobody recognized me, nobody knew me. But now everybody, I think everybody in Israel knows my name and it is very funny," she said.
