Bianca King Plays Dual Roles In The Dark Mystery-Drama, 'Obsession'

BIANCA KING is thankful to GMA-7 for lending her to TV5 to do the new drama show, “Obsession”. “And I’d also like to thank the TV5 people for accepting me so warmly,” she adds. “Nag-guest na rin ako in ‘Tropa Mo Unli’ and I felt so at home with Kuya Ogie Alcasid there.”

Her contract with GMA is expiring soon. Does that mean she’s no longer renewing it? “I can’t say. It all depends with my managers (Ronnie and Ida Henares of Primeline). I’ve been with GMA for ten years. Siempre hindi ko rin ito basta matatalikuran. Sana, puede na lang ako magtrabaho with both networks as they both treat me so well.”

After Dennis Trillo, she admits she has a new BF, non-showbiz. “He’s based in L.A. now as he’s studying there, majoring on finance. He comes home often and after his studies, uuwi rin siya rito for good. Una kong nakilala yung father niya then we were introduced.”

In “Obsession”, Bianca actually plays dual roles as the object of Marvin Agustin’s obsessive love and desire. As the story starts, her character, Bernadette, played by Neri Naig, is a bipolar manic depressive girl who gets obsessed with Martin Escudero who just played with her. She couldn’t take it when she left him and tried to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge. She survives but her face is disfigured. Marvin Agustin, a cosmetic surgeon for whom she works a chemist, operates on her face and makes her look like the model he’s obsessed with, Vanessa (Bianca.) Later on, another character will also change appearance through plastic surgery in this intriguing story full of many surprising twists and turns. Directed by the comebacking Jay Altarejos who used to be with GMA-7, it will be shown on Thursday nights, replacing “For Love or Money”. Also in the cast are Elizabeth Oropesa as Marvin’s mom who has a big dark secret, Maureen Mauricio and Allan Paule as the parents of Neri and Richard Quan and Shiela Rodriguez as the parents of Martin.
