Sam Milby On The Status Of His Relationship With Jessy Mendiola

SAM MILBY IS proud to be Eugene Domingo’s leading man in “Kimmy Dora, Ang Kiyemeng Prequel”, which got a B rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board. He knows he’s just the second choice for the role (Piolo Pascual was the first choice but he backed out due to a movie he’s shooting with Toni Gonzaga) because he really enjoyed doing the movie with Eugene and Director Chris Martinez. “Also, first time kong nag-action dito and it’s quite a challenge for me. I really had a great time doing my own fight routines and stunts,” he adds. “Nag-enjoy rin ako joining the Parade of Stars. It’s the chance of us stars to interact with our fans and it’s nice seeing them and waving at them along the way.”

Sam is also happy that his parents and siblings came over from the U.S. to spend the Christmas holidays with him here. “I haven’t spent Christmas and New Year with them for some years now so I really appreciate na sila ang nagpunta ngayon dito para magkasama kami. It’s really nice kung buo ang pamilya in occasions like this. I’m taking all of them sa preview ng ‘Kimmy Dora’ (held last Monday.)”

About his lovelife, what’s the status of his relationship with Jessy Mendiola who, as everyone knows, he’s courting? “Ganun pa rin, we’re just friends. The problems is we’re both so busy, so we seldom see each other. Aside from my showbiz commitments, I’ve opened a German restaurant, Prost Braumeister, at the Fort. Siya naman, she’s taping ‘Maria Mercedes’ and is doing a movie with John Lloyd Cruz.”
