GMA-7 Shows And Stars Get Six Nomination In The 2013 Asian TV Awards

OUR LOCAL TV industry got nine nominations in the 2013 Asian TV Awards, six of them are from GMA-7 show. As best news program, “24 Oras: Bagyong Pablo” and “Saksi: Typhoon Pablo’s Trail of Death” are competing against newscast from Singapore and Hong Kong. (Next year, it’ll be the turn of Typhoon Yolanda.”

For best current affairs, GMA’s nominations are for “Born Impact: When Whales Strand” as the Best Natural History or Wildlife program, while “Reporter’s Notebook: Bagyong Pablo (Typhoon Pablo)” is nominated as the best current affairs program.

GMA actresses Marian Rivera and Lorna Tolentino are both nominated for the Best Actress award in a leading role: Marian as the wronged wife in “Temptation Of Wife” and Lorna Tolentino as the erring wife in “Pahiram Ng Sandali (Chasing Moments)”. Michael V, on the other hand, is nominated as Best Comedy Actor for “Bubble Gang.”

The Asian TV Award winners are determined by an expert panel of over 50 judges from TV experts all over Asia. The winners will be announced during the Awards Ceremony with a gala dinner next month.
