Solenn has this special attraction to men. We’ve asked a lot of local actors who their crush is and most of them said it’s Solenn, even young actors with the Kapamilya network.
In “Status: It’s Complicated”, Solenn plays Sylvia, a fashion designer who studied abroad. “I can relate well with my role kasi I really took up fashion design in Paris,” she says. “I now design clothes also.”
In the movie, she figures in a love triangle with Paulo Avelino and Eugene Domingo. Paulo is a nerdy graphic artist for whom love is sacred and should be taken seriously. He wants to be faithful with whoever will be his someone special, unlike his best friend Jake Cuenca who’s a serial womanizer. Paulo and Jake decide to try each other’s lifestyle to see whose beliefs are better: being faithful or being a ladies’ man? But Jake unexpectedly falls head over heels in love with Maja Salvador and becomes a one-woman man. In contrast, the conservative Paulo, ironically gets involved with two of his clients: Solenn and Eugene Domingo who plays Marian, a well known sexologist.
Solenn delivers one memorable aria in the movie: “Ako, nagseselos? Bakit ako magseselos? Wala sa bokabularyo ko ang pagseselos!” But deep inside, she’s really jealous of Eugene. They have some scenes shot in Boracay and Solenn is seen in sexy swimsuits that will surely make her win more male fans.
Meantime, in “Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas”, she plays Jade, the girlfriend of Cesar Montano as Conrad. She also gets jealous in the soap because Cesar is more devoted to his career as a lawyer than to her. She just shot a love scene with him. “It’s tastefully executed naman by Director Laurice Guillen so I’m sure we won’t have any problems with the MTRCB,” she says. “Cesar was just in his boxers when we shot it but he’s a real gentleman so I trusted him.”
