“Four years ago pa when ‘Stairway’ was shown but parang there’s no change at all between us ni Dingdong,” says Rhian. “It’s always comforting to work with a competent actor who knows what he’s doing, so everything is smooth sailing naman.”
What about the rumor that Marian Rivera snubbed her when she dropped by on their taping? “It’s not true. We’re okay. Common knowledge naman that I’m also in a relationship now.”
So how’s KC Montero? “He’s okay. We’re sort of best friends. He understands if I don’t have much time for him kasi nga I’m so busy with work dahil may indie film pa akong ginagawa. We trust and support each other. He knows mahirap gawin ang ‘Genesis’ kasi nga maraming special effects. Like we shot sa Panagbenga Flower Festival in Baguio tapos doon ipinakitang bumabagsak yung asteroid. Ang hirap noon. Maraming dramatic scenes kami ni Dingdong. On our wedding day, some people abducted him. Yun pala, he was framed up at nakulong siya for seven years. When he left me, I’m already pregnant with our baby. I thought he’s dead so nagpakasal ako kay TJ Trinidad. When Dingdong returned, ayun, may asawa na ako, who turns out to be an abusive husband.”
So she plays a mother role for the first time? “Yes, nanay ako rito. It’s a new challenge for me after my Diwata role in ‘Indio’. Mas realistic ang scenes ko rito as wife and mom. It’s good we had workshops for me to be able to play my role well. But in real life, naku, I’m not ready yet. I’d want to do a lot of other things yet. 23 lang ako. Trabaho muna.”
