Derek Ramsay on Cristine Reyes: We're better off as friends

DEREK RAMSAY is back taping new episodes for his TV5 Thursday night drama, “For Love or Money”, after being gone for 10 days and doing three shows with ex-GF Cristine Reyes in Hawaii. So, did the much ballyhooed reconciliation between them took place while they were together in a faraway land?

“Walang ganung nangyari,” he says. “We’re friends. And we both have realized that we’re better of that way, so walang balikang nangyari at all. Naghiwalay naman kami nang walang samaan ng loob sa isa’t isa so we’re in cordial terms. Hindi kami nagkailangan at all. We even stayed in the same hotels in the places we’ve been to, Honululu, Maui and Kawaii. Wala kaming problema. Pero in those places, kanya-kanya kami ng lakad. And after all our shows, she went to the U.S. mainland for another show at, ako naman, bumalik na rito kasi nga I have to resume taping ‘For Love or Money’ with Ritz Azul and Alice Dixson.” Read also, Derek Ramsay As Love Triangle King Romances Alice Dixson & Ritz Azul In 'For Love Or Money'.

TV5 management is said to be very happy with their show. It’s rating well and gaining more viewers every Thursday night. TV5 execs are also very satisfied with the way Direk Mac Alejandre is directing each episode of the show. But we heard something different in the case of its pre-program, “Positive”. A little birdie told us its director, Eric Quizon, resigned after TV5 execs expressed dissatisfaction over the way he’s helming the advocacy drama about AIDS awareness starring Martin Escudero. The weekly drama is now said to be helmed by writer Benedict Mique.
